Oana Mitsuk is a Greater Toronto Area-based Illustrator focused on creating narrative art for children’s literature. Build on a fine art foundation and inspired by her work as an art teacher, Oana’s illustrations capture a rich world of quiet feelings and unexpected comical situations, bringing out the stories hidden within characters and places alike.

She is honoured to be a winner of the 2026 Tomie dePaola Mentorship Award from the SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators). Through this prestigious program, she is currently refining her craft and narrative storytelling under the guidance of industry leaders.
