Oana Mitsuk is an artist drawn to presence - the quiet way beings and places carry a story, and to the dialogue that forms when images meet words.

This fascination shaped her work into a narrative practice, supported by a fine art education and experience teaching children. Illustration, as she sees it, is a visual form of stories meant to be explored and felt.

Born and raised in Romania, she now lives near Toronto with her husband, son, an orange dog, and a grey cat.
