Oana Mitsuk is a children’s book illustrator originally from Romania, now based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

Build on a fine art foundation and inspired by her work as an art teacher for children, Oana’s illustrations are rooted in folklore, quiet feelings and the wonder of nature. Across both her book illustration and her Studio work, she utilizes traditional mediums-including watercolours, acrylics, pencils, and charcoal- with a touch of digital.

She is honoured to be a winner of the 2026 SCBWI Tomie dePaola Mentorship Award .
